Tiny Mutiny 2022 Galway City

Tiny Mutiny/An Ceannairc Beag Bídeach honoured children as artists in their own right by having them perform loud, colorful protest acts in Galway City and Ros Muc 2022.

Lead Artists Sparkcatchers! Jojo Hynes & Midie Corcoran in collaboration with Róisín Seoige, Laura Angell and Atmos Collective, enabled two youth ensembles to advocate for the establishment of a child-led cultural space in the West of Ireland. Each group conveyed their ideas through protest performances that feature vibrant banners, rebellious songs, and projections of the VR worlds.

In response to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, they developed their visions and declarations. The site-specific actions took place at Galway City Museum and Ionad Cultúrtha an Phiarsaigh in October 2022 as part of Baboró International Arts Festival for Children.
